About this site
As a long term shin splints sufferer (three years and counting). I decided to set up this web site as a means of sharing what I have found out and still finding out about this, debilitating and frustrating condition.Over the past three years I have been to three different Physio's, and three separate podiatrists, I’m on my 4th pair of running shoes and third set of custom made orthotics. But to date I’m still having the same problems when I run. I have had two biomechanical gait analysis done.
In addition I have had literally hundreds of tips and advice, ranging from, running on your toes to running on your heels, don’t run up hills, just run on grass, take half an aspirin before you run or take two ibuprofen after you run – the list goes on and on. But it seems everyone experts and novices alike all have an opinion on how to cure “Shin Splints”.
But hopefully this site will serve as a place where people can share what they have experienced on the road to recovery with shin splints. I'm looking for people to contribute to this site, so if you would like to post an article or review a product please register and i'll set you up as contributor.
Thanks
